Great Tew, which is twenty minutes walk from Little Tew and about three
and a half miles from the nearest bus stop at Neat Enstone, was full of
vintage cars, and the Falkland Arms was full of the drivers and
passengers. Fortunately there was a big sloping garden out the back
(facing east) with benches.

There's a poster in the dark insides with a list of Scottish single malt
whiskies. All of them in fact. What is best about this poster is that I
have reason to believe that all of them are on sale behind the bar.
There's a fair amount of beer as well, but the range of cider is not as
wide as Roger Protz led me to believe in the Observer last year. Old Rosie
they have, though.

Food good but expensive. Not much of a vegetarian range beyond a courgette
casserole. Pete had an enormous blade of lamb. I had the chilli in case I
had a cold coming on. (15.v.1999)
