Martin Kimber and Catherine Kimber write:
Surprisingly large, dark, smoky, cavernous pub with all mod. cons.: sofa,
broadsheet newspapers, old-fashioned adverts on walls, jelly beans and
pistachio nuts. No angle, but banana, strawberry and mint flavours are
available in the disabled-facilities-cum-baby-changing-room. Has a garden
out the back for children. (21.ii.1998)

Aylesbury & The Vale buses leave G3 St Aldates every 5 and 35 minutes past
the hour (bus number 280). £3.25 for day return to Thame Town Hall.
(9.v.1998)
Editorial note:
Service friendly, and an excellent no-smoking room out the back, which is
probably ideal for the height of summer (when the back garden'll be full
anyway), but unfortunately the restaurant next-doorish (which is part of
the same organization) is called "Murphy's Craic". (9.v.1998)
