The Waggon and Horses (Elgood), Milton.

This feels like a village pub, which is surprising given the suburban
sterility of Milton. It has real cider, even in winter (Cassels, 6.3%),
and a fair amount of real ale. Lots of hats. Schematic map of Cambridge
on the wall (no use whatever).

Marvellous unreconstructed pub menu with nothing I could see over a fiver,
and an *enormous* plate of ham, egg and chips for four pounds. Also bowls
of chips for one pound fifty, which are some of the best pub chips I've
had. This is splendid. If they could move it out of Milton it would be
even better.
