The Plough and Fleece, Horningsea
This is on the road between Fen Ditton and Waterbeach railway station, as
I recently (January 2004) discovered on an unhappy attempt to cycle from
Waterbeach station to the Cambridge Science Park. Opposite Ansell's
Garden Centre.
Usual Greene King beers, and astonishing chips. Most chips are prolate
[gestures to indicate something roughly sausage-shaped], whereas these are
closer to oblate [gestures to indicate a slice]. They're not big enough
to be sauteed potatoes, you see. They're very nice. The ham is good too.
