The Hopbine, Fair Street, Cambridge Nick Bull writes: A well-appointed pub for a back-street location. Following a defection from the Wrestlers, Thai food is served here; there is a slightly increased range on the menu, but the prices are a bit higher as well. Drinkers and eaters are segregated. The staff wear purple polo shirts with SIMPLY THE BEST on the back. The customers are young and smartly dressed. Paul Gilkerson adds: They have comfy looking leather chairs (it was too busy to sample them) and Abbot Ale and Old Speckled Hen. I tried the latter but wasn't very impressed (though OSH often has that impression on me in pubs). (24.ii.2001) Editorial note: Food stops at 9.30 pm. (2002-05-08)
