One of the few no-smoking pubs in the country, this served about half a dozen
cask ales in excellent condition. The Greene King XX Mild was very good
indeed. Large portions of food for just over a fiver a main course. I was
impressed. Russell put too much mustard on his mashed potato, which was pretty
mustardy to start off with.

They serve food until quarter to nine, unless they run out before.
Useful post-cinema. I tend to have the warm goat's cheese and rocket
salad. The cruets look like escapees from the short films of Charles and
Ray Eames. The decoration is old framed newspapers and printers' cases
full of oddments and train tickets.

Oh oh oh. They have a snug by the bar, but it has a door, so you might
not notice it unless you stand facing the menu on the wall and turn around
180 degrees.
